theOppermanian 007: Developing a Life Plan

How many of you have have a budget? Do you sit down at the beginning of your month and you decide I will spend $50 on Starbucks, $75 on eating out, etc? While money is imperative in this life, there is nothing more important than your time. So today we are going to talk about a thing called a life plan.

In the recommended resources I link to a book called Living Forward by Michael Hyatt and Daniel Harkavy. In the book, they outline what they call life planning. The idea is simple just as a person would look at their paycheck and determine the priority of each dollar spent; we need to look at our time the same way.

This past year my wife and I have decided to make the commitment in our lives to be more purposeful in how we invest our time. We have chosen to take each minute we have and invest it or spend it well.

In this episode, I break down a few of the life accounts I have set up so you listener can see how it plays out in practice. I would highly encourage each of you to invest in this book yourselves and start managing your time they way you would manage your money. It is infinitely more valuable.
